WHY PSYCH?
It’s only one of the greatest shows ever! I will forever love Steve Franks and company for delivering one of the most clever, most fun shows about solving mysteries and friendships.
THE PSYCH-Os
I emailed JK because I know he’s a fellow Psych-O. Even though Josh Neff and I can easily talk for hours on our own, I could not do a Psych episode without some input from James. I asked him for his favorite episodes and he delivered that plus more. He has some favorite quotes to include and even asked us some questions based on the themes of the episodes. He’s in California and we figured scheduling three people in all different time zones would be hard.
JOSH wasn’t a Psych-O right off the bat. He gave the show a few episodes and then got hooked. For me, it was immediate. No kidding, the commercials had me hooked.
What made the show special technically speaking was the interesting format where almost every episode began with a flashback to Little Shawn and Gus (also in animated featurettes) learning a lesson which was supposed to relate to the theme of the present day. Themes of friendship, relationships, and earning respect carried throughout the show. The regular cast members were great and they also had wonderful recurring cast and spectacular guests.
