InvestiGATORS!

There will be more to come by way of describing the whole process about the creation of my InvestiGATORS cosplay. Overall, it worked. I had a lot of fun as usual at Free Comic Book Day at Comic Fusion in historic Flemington, New Jersey. I chose this character because I’ve read the comics before and they are completely my type of pun-loaded humor. Brash and Mango are gators who wear vests and they investigate! They are Agents of S.U.I.T. (Special Undercover Investigative Teams).

I don’t know if I’m Mango or Brash to be honest. I think I resonate more with Mango. I tried so hard to find the right shades of fabric (at reasonable prices). I ran out of time to make the vest so had to buy one with two-day Amazon shipping.

I had never thought of making one of the costumes before, but:

  • I looked through all the titles of the FCBD comics and wanted to choose a character that would be in one of the offered books;
  • I wanted to do something absolutely unique;
  • I’ve been wanting to do more with foam since my Queen Neva costume from Planet Gigantic (and for that I only used basic sheets of 2mm craft foam).

Here are official trailers in Green’s playlist about the comics and the cases:
