AMBER LOVE 19-NOV-2013 This weekend I’ll be putting the capes and tights aside to showcase a brand new look. Unless you count my Dia de los Muertos sugar skull makeup as horror (which I personally don’t) this DEAD IRONS modeling will be my first foray into the spooky supernatural departing from superheroes. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know it takes something rather special to get me to even look at a horror comic.
VA Comic Con Press ReleaseÂ
Richmond’s two day Virginia Comic Con is proud to announce a unique entertainment event to bring two of the most frightening characters in comics to life. Special effects and prop fabricator artist Brody Williams will be performing an onsite special effects make up test to take Annie Belle Irons from the fan favorite supernatural western comic book series, Dead Irons from illustration to flesh and blood.  There will be a special green screen photo shoot that will be used in the upcoming 2014 sequel to Dead Irons.  The photo shoot will also be used in helping to gain interest and support for a potential Dead Irons feature film.  Popular cosplay model Amber Love will bring Annie Belle irons to life.
Series creator James Kuhoric will be on hand to discuss the series and sequel with fans both days of the event.  “It is a real dream come true for me to see the Dead Irons characters brought to life at the Virginia Comic Con.  Having a talented artist and special effects pro like Brody Williams as the creative force behind the photo shoot makes me confident that this will truly be a theatrical quality event.â€
Brett Carreras, promoter of the Virginia Comic Con, has been one of the most vocal supporters of the Dead Irons series.  In addition to being the first CGC member dealer in Central VA, he is an Official Adviser to both the Overstreet and Fogel’s Underground Price Guides, has been a guest lecturer on investment-level comic books, and was also invited to be a special collectibles consultant for ABC television.  Nov 23-24 will see the return of the 2-Day VA Comicon. Brett has partnered with Woodbridge, VA retailer Painted Visions Comics to bring Rob Liefeld to his hometown of Richmond, VA in a space 10x the size of the show he first took over promotions for. This will be the BIGGEST comic book show EVER in the state of Virginia.
