Killer Influences

REVIEW:
My NCBD pick of the week is Killer Influences by Eisner Award nominee Joey Esposito (The Pedestrian, Batman: Urban Legends) and rising-star artist Valeria Burzo (Castle Full of Blackbirds, EC Comics) with color art by Iñaki Azpiazu and lettering by Alex Ray. Find out how a podcaster seeking views and a serial killer team up in KILLER INFLUENCES.
This comic comes from IDW’s new CRIME imprint. It combines my personal interests: podcasting and serial killers. Particularly, the motivations of both. What makes some people want to be famous for speculating about crimes? What are the psychological pathologies that drive a murderer to continue repeating the crime and taking lives?
If you think that’s morbid, you’re right. People, even psychopaths, define success differently. For some it’s as simple as not being so poor that you live paycheck to paycheck; other dream of zillionaire wealth; others want fame.
