Review:

THE MARSH FELLOWS is a welcome all-ages OGN where a mischievous boy needs a foster home because he keeps getting kicked out of them. The old couple assigned to him have mixed feelings. Marvin is eager to take in Urchin. Pearl is going through realizations that she’s aging and things are already getting tougher for her which causes her to be abrasive towards Urchin.

The young boy is observant and notices things that are wrong with their domicile. Pearl and Marvin have lived with the flooding and constant “rain” for so long, they think everything is fine. Pearl insisted Urchin gets immediately involved in their hard work of cleaning litter pollution out of their beloved Marsh. He begrudgingly goes and their relationship develops with fast-paced ups and downs. What they discover on their excursion changes life for the Mayor and everyone in Slumber Village.

There are lessons about:

  • giving kids who act out more than a second chance;
  • found family;
  • aging;
  • community service;
  • light and litter pollution;
  • questioning authority;
  • and, being brave to explore new parts of the world.

Highly recommend!
