Prom Queen

In 1989, I was in my last year of high school. Madonna was top of the charts. Jack Nicholson was squirting Michael Keaton with Joker venom. There was still a Yugoslavia (has that reformed again?). And I was toying with the idea of going to art school. I found the mock ups in the attic. It was my first and only comic. I interviewed at Kubert’s School of Cartooning and after seeing how crazy good those students were, I crawled back home and realized I needed to try something that would get me a paycheck because I sure wouldn’t get one in art. By the way, I’m still looking for where to find a paycheck.
