*NOTE* NEXT CHANCE TO DROP OFF IN PERSON — I’ll be Jay Fife’s booth at the Baltimore Comic Con, Aug 28-29.

If you’re a fan of mine, then you probably already know my connection to the annual international Wonder Woman Day fundraiser. For the past few years it has been my honor to be the New Jersey Wonder Woman at Comic Fusion in Flemington. Stacy Korn and I spend the entire year soliciting donations from artists, writers and publishers to raise money for S.A.F.E. in Hunterdon which provides invaluable services for domestic violence survivors.

It’s also important to note that 25% of what we raise gets directly set aside for their children’s art therapy program; and most importantly, I will brag on the shop’s behalf that we do not take any “administrative” costs from the NJ auction. Conducting this event actually costs the shop money which is why we cannot afford to pay celebrity creators to make appearances. Anyone that appears either volunteers or only takes a portion of their sketch sales. I already know that Mr. Joe Sinnott (Marvel legend) will be back for a second year at Comic Fusion.

Fans/Bidders: the event isn’t until October.

Creators/Publishers: Since it’s convention season, Stacy & I are able to personally pick up your donations at certain cons but we most certainly are able to accept them via snail mail at the shop’s address (see the card image below).
