Ashley Neuhaus 10-OCT-2012 215ink produces another winner with COBBLE HILL #1. Just in time for the Halloween season, this book is a young-adult thriller about a girl named Samantha Charles. The cover for issue one is beautifully dressed in a blue tone, capturing the eeriness of the story.

Writer: Jeremy Holt
Artist: Selena Goulding
Colorist: Adam Metcalfe
Letterer: Ed Brisson
Design: Tim Daniel
Script Editor: Brittany Matter

Samantha Charles is just your average 17-year old girl who lives in a beautiful coastal town. Except she’s not. Her parents mysteriously disappeared when she was an infant and she is the sole heiress of their fortune. Samantha also hears voices from various inanimate objects around town. Will she be able to solve the riddles and figure out what happened to her parents?

Selena Goulding’s art is absolutely beautiful. Her lines and Adam Metcalfe’s prominent blues and greys really complement the tone of story that Holt is telling. Goulding captures the loneliness that Samantha feels in her expressions. It’s great to see an artist that can enhance the words and add to the emotions of the characters.

I highly recommend picking up this book if you’re going to NYCC (215ink will be at booth #2279). And if you’re not attending the convention, print and digital copies of issue one of COBBLE HILL will be available through Liber Distribution and 215ink directly this week.
