WHERE TO GET THE SHOW:
“LAUGHTER FOR A BETTER WORLD”
SAM DEALEY is a stand-up comedian and cartoonist I met though Patreon. He runs a project there called “Woohooligans” and is reaching out to the world through comedy.
Edmund Gwenn and multiple other people are credited with saying, “Dying is easy. Comedy is hard.”
Part of what fuels Sam’s comedy and commentary is what’s going on in the world and trying to be a positive influence. With that in mind, we discussed Kathy Griffin and the “headless Trump” stunt and other comedians who push the limit of what’s in good/poor taste.
To support my work you can buy my books and become a monthly sponsor at Patreon.com/ amberunmasked.
We talked a bit about how important making sex education not only available, but also entertaining, is. Not only sex education but our mental awareness and our health. Sam finds joy in being alive after a cancer scare which he makes sound humorous. Finding happiness every day for being alive is not something that comes naturally to everyone.
“I plan to make a lot of mistakes because I plan to experiment with a lot of different ideas and things in the process to get to my success; and inevitably when you experiment with things you make mistakes.” Sam Dealey
Sam frequently includes controversial issues and current events in his work from Black Lives Matter and Trayvon Martin to whatever geeks are arguing about. This brings up why Sam moderates the comments on his page. Choosing to ban someone who comments that they disagree with a comic is not infringing on free speech.
