Rori Comics’ #100Days100Women is an international list of women throughout history. While many are American, there is still a good chance it’s a historical figure you weren’t taught about in school. There are political figures, warriors, activists, comedians, writers, athletes, artists, and scientists – as far back as ancient times up to today. We discussed how sometimes our memories of what we were taught can skew over time. The project was a massive success in terms of introducing people to these incredible women of history. It was covered by Wikipedia and Upworthy. After talking about some of the notable women on her list, Rori shared some advice about Clip Studio software and brush choices and her affinity for limited color palettes.

The postcard supply of the individual women is out of stock for the moment; they were done as a fundraiser which raised $1900 for the ACLU. The next offering will be a poster of all 100 Women by Rori on IndieGoGo. She was overwhelmed by the response to this series and is grateful to everyone who sent their feedback. If you have any specific questions, drop her a line on Twitter.

The best thing to do is add to her tip jar and get the announcements and exclusive art just for backers. Keep an eye out for the big announcement of when her new web store opens.

How the project started: Wikipedia’s Medium story

On my Twitter @elizabethamber and Facebook public page, I’m posting a daily quote by a notable woman. Also on Twitter @the_author_ is featuring a link a day to women people should know more about. Another Twitter to follow all year round is @womensart1. And to escape this reality and jump into an alternate dimension, follow @IfHillaryHad.

If you know women who are unable to participate in the March 8th, Day Without a Woman Strike, consider giving your money to them. Striking is a privilege.
